Birmingham homes span the full range of ages and styles, and the older neighborhoods face wiring challenges that newer construction does not. We work regularly in Redmont Park, Highland Park, Forest Park, and Crestwood, where plaster walls and original millwork rule out shortcuts.

Homewood is our home, with our office on W. Valley Ave. This historic suburb sees heavy renovation activity, and older properties often need network and audio infrastructure added without disturbing rooms that are already finished.

Hoover mixes newer master-planned communities with established homes that have been through more than one renovation. New construction lets us prewire before drywall goes up, while existing homes get a retrofit plan built around what is already in the walls.

Lake Martin properties are often second homes, so remote access lets you check cameras and confirm the house is secure without being there. We also plan outdoor audio and video built for waterfront sun and humidity, and our Homewood team can diagnose most issues before anyone makes the drive.

Mountain Brook largely consists of established estates, where integration has to remain discreet, and retrofit work means fitting modern systems into older construction without visible compromise. We conceal equipment and plan speaker placement around ceilings that were never designed for it.

Smith Lake follows the same second-home pattern as Lake Martin, and distributed audio that reaches the dock as easily as the deck is one of the most common requests here. Remote monitoring matters more at Smith Lake than almost anywhere else we work, because a problem caught early costs far less than one discovered on arrival.

Trussville is growing quickly, with many newer subdivisions with bonus rooms, media spaces, covered patios, and outdoor kitchens. Planning those spaces during the build costs considerably less than retrofitting the same systems afterward.

Vestavia Hills homes often run 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, which makes wireless coverage and multi-zone audio the central design questions. Whole-home control earns its keep in a house this size, where walking to a wall switch becomes its own small inconvenience.
