Founder

Justin Hardy

Justin started SWITCH in 2007 with a vision to blend high-end technology with everyday simplicity, and in doing so, Make Life Better. Eighteen years later, that mission still drives every decision, install, and relationship across the company.

An Auburn-educated structural engineer and former Senior Project Engineer at ALCOA, Justin pairs technical precision with a natural drive for entrepreneurship. Over the past decade, he has served on the board of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, where his leadership and character have earned him a reputation for integrity, forward thinking, and putting people first.

Justin wears many hats at SWITCH, but his favorite is still Culture Keeper. He leads with purpose, making sure love, hard work, and meaningful rest are always at the center of what SWITCH stands for.

He and his wife Whitney have been married for 20 years and are raising their three kids in Homewood, where their story began at Homewood Church. You can usually find Justin with his two bird dogs, Winston and Josie, who never miss a workday.

Project Manager

Emily Pullen

Emily keeps the engine running at SWITCH. As Project Manager, she juggles shifting schedules, oversees our warehouse, and makes sure every job moves forward smoothly for both our clients and our team. With nearly five years at SWITCH and eight years of overall project and event management experience, Emily brings steady leadership and clear communication to every part of our operation.

She leads with heart, letting love guide how she cares for clients, employees, and vendor partners alike. Emily is the definition of living out our mission to Make Life Better.

When she is off the clock, you will find her reading, cooking, or spending quality time with her wonderful family.

Technical Designer

Patrick Mace

With nearly 20 years in the industry and approaching five years at SWITCH, Patrick is the mind behind many of the solutions that help us Make Life Better for our clients. As Technical Designer, he creates detailed proposals, specifies the right technology, and keeps SWITCH on the cutting edge of innovation in both residential and commercial spaces.

Patrick’s passion lies in the relentless pursuit of simplifying lives through technology. He holds a long list of certifications including Control4, Lighting Design and Control, Audyssey Pro, Dante Levels 1 and 2, and multiple alarm system qualifications. His expertise brings clarity to complexity, ensuring our solutions are powerful, accessible, and easy to use.

When he is not deep in the tech world, Patrick lives by the words of Parnelli Jones: “If you’re in control, you’re not going fast enough.”

Lead Integration Technician

Kyle Smith

With 20 years of experience in the field, Kyle is a seasoned pro when it comes to installation, programming, and system integration. At SWITCH, he is known as our resident Professor of Technology, always eager to share knowledge, solve problems, and finish the job with excellence.

Certified by CEDIA, Control4, URC, and in alarm and shade systems, Kyle brings a full-spectrum skillset to every project. He loves what he does and it shows in his work ethic, his respect for clients and coworkers, and the way he lives out our values of Love, Work, Rest.

When the work is done, Kyle makes the most of rest by heading to the beach, swimming, fishing, working out, or riding bikes with his family.

Service Lead

Mike Allain

Mike brings over two decades of IT service delivery experience and more than five years at SWITCH to his role as Service Lead. He is the guy you want when things go wrong and the one who makes it right with patience, expertise, and a genuine commitment to our clients’ peace of mind.

Certified in Control4 and URC, Mike is skilled in both networking and AV troubleshooting. He does not just fix problems. He empowers clients by showing them how to handle issues themselves when that is something they value. His goal is to make sure every client sees SWITCH as a trusted and caring partner.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and recently added beekeeping to his list of hobbies. He is a proud graduate of Auburn and UAB, a devoted husband, and the father of four adult children.

Bryce Etheridge

Bryce is the connector at SWITCH, building trusted relationships with clients, trade partners, and local businesses to expand our reach and impact. With over six years of AV experience and one and a half years at SWITCH, he is focused on one thing: making sure we are the first call when opportunity knocks.

Known for his energy, heart, and what some might call certified badass status, Bryce helps bring clients confidently into the ever-changing world of technology. He does it with education, integrity, and a whole lot of love because at SWITCH, we believe peace of mind is part of the product.

A proud husband and father, Bryce and his wife Maddie are raising four amazing kids. Jack is eleven, Blakely is six, Colby is three, and baby number four is arriving in December 2025. You will find him coaching their teams, swinging a golf club, or playing just about any sport that involves competition and connection.

William Decker

With over 30 years in the low voltage industry and a passion for making technology work seamlessly, William brings deep expertise and steady leadership to SWITCH. As our Lead Tech, he oversees installations, programming, client training, and ensures every project meets our high standards for excellence and simplicity.

A certified Control4 programmer and audio specialist, William is fascinated by the inner workings of electronics and never shies away from a challenge. Whether he is troubleshooting complex systems or fine-tuning final details, his goal is always the same: treat every client like family and make their life better through technology.

Outside of work, William is a talented musician, producer, and photographer who is constantly creating and exploring with the same curiosity that drives his technical work.

Joel McCall

With over 16 years in the industry and more than three years at SWITCH, Joel brings craftsmanship and consistency to every project. As a Lead Technician, he handles installs and programming with a focus on precision and racks that look as good as they perform.

Certified in Control4 and URC, Joel is known for his hard work, attention to detail, and steady dedication to both his work family and home life. He thrives on the variety each day brings and welcomes every challenge with a can-do attitude.

When he is not on the job, Joel enjoys woodworking, grilling, and fishing. He loves doing hands-on things that bring joy and calm, just like the systems he installs.

Darius Reed

Darius is a passionate member of SWITCH’s custom integration team, bringing energy, heart, and hands-on skill to every install. Whether it is whole-home automation, surround sound, or smart home solutions tailored to your lifestyle, he is committed to doing everything in his power to make your system seamless and spectacular.

New to SWITCH but no stranger to hard work, Darius thrives on the challenge of learning emerging technologies and turning them into everyday tools for clients. His favorite part is solving problems and connecting with people.
